Worker’s Compensation Ohio – Online Website
To access many of the features on the Ohio Bureau of workers compensation website, you need to be using either Internet Explorer or Firefox for your web browser. I tried to access them from my Apple Macbook Pro and was out of luck. You can view some of the website but you will not be able to open an account, fill out forms, or do other things if you don’t have one of those two browsers.
A good place to start is the FAQ page which will familiarize you with workers comp. in Ohio and answer many of your questions.
Report Your Injury IMMEDIATELY!
At the first sign of injury you should tell your supervisor, boss, or someone in management. Even if your injury appears to be small you should report it because small, seemingly insignificant injuries can turn into bigger ones. Information about the claims process in Ohio and what you should do can be found here.
If Your Claim Is Denied
You have 14 days to file an appeal if your workman’s comp. claim is denied. You can appeal through this website or you can also manually fill out a claim (found here) and mail it in. It is your decision whether to appeal but you should fight for your rights if you think your injury is work related and legitimate.
